Venture Capital Executive Assistant question
We get a few questions from potential investors, promoters, and those looking for funding regarding the operations of an assistant in a venture capital firm.
It is important the whole team is working towards the same goals. Here is a sample overview of what an assistant should handle:
• Manage detailed calendars, including coordinating meeting schedules, conference calls, and business appointments across various global locations and time zones (including international locations)
• Organize and coordinate comprehensive travel arrangements, including support for travel briefing packages and detailed travel logistics (including international travel)
• Be able to work with executives of portfolio companies to manage business needs such as gathering quarterly performance reports and arranging meetings
• Interface with the various companies, investors, policy makers, government officials, and other strategic visitors that interact with the partners
• Support select projects through tasks such as web research, fact checking, focus groups, customer interviews, etc.
• Answer and screen all incoming phone calls for the Partners
• Expense report preparation and general management of expenses
• Manage reservations / registrations for business meetings, conferences, events, off site meetings, etc.
• Maintain files, records, data and information and keep them organized and up-to-date
• Keep track of and help weigh in on partner’s priorities
